From our wine list:
“...The grandmother of our vines, cultivated for three generations of Ottavio's and Carla's family. A wine born of the love for our own land, for the ancient perfumes of the ripe fruit, bottled in liqueur... “
This vine is known as the 'Bardigà' by the old people, and is grown in dry soils. We carefully prune it by removing the small bunches. The resulting wine comes from the natural coming together of the earth, the woods and the birds, and is produced without resorting to any chemical additives. It is composed from Barbera, Croatina of the Piedmont and Moretto grapes. in a highly successful combination.
The wine is aged for at least two years in oak barrels. We take great care to scratch the insides of the barrels to intensify the taste of the wine, a flavour that is always delicately sweet, like the warmth of the sun. The wine is further refined in the bottle, in which it is stored for at least 14 months.

The result is a great wine of particular elegance, well suited to be served with rich, filling or spicy meat dishes. Because of its aroma of ripe fruit and dried flowers, its smoothness and its low acidity, this wine has become known as 'the meditation wine', since it can be drunk on its own and needs no accompanying food to do it justice.
